     Title: Becontree come fourth at Folkestone

Becontree competed at the SCABA contest in Folkestone on 19 October, and came a very creditable 4th place. Graham Chambers won the Conductors Prize.

In addition, the band won the prize for best Bass section. Becontree was one of 3 bands to choose "Rhapsody in Brass" as its test piece. The band competed in the first section, and gave a strong, musical performance.
